Day 21: Generous Tip

Today we made an extra effort to show our gratitude for good service.  There are many individuals who work really hard in the service industry to please the customer.  We, as customers, sometimes do not do enough to show our appreciation.  So, while at lunch today, we wanted to say thank you for a job well done.  The check for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in town came to $14.63.  We left our waiter Adrian a tip of $20 with a note that said Merry Christmas. A simple way to say thank you to person who worked hard to please us.

Tomorrow is day 22 of the 25 Days of Giving.  It was supposed to be a day in which we shoveled snow for a neighbor or an elderly person in our neighborhood.  Unfortunately, that is not going to happen.  There is no snow to shovel.  We never would have guessed when we created our task list that we would be looking at a green Christmas.  So, tomorrow we will replace shoveling with holiday wishes on windshields.  We are going to leave Christmas notes on the windshields of random cars around town.  If you have snow in your area, shovel away.  If not, take a few minutes to wish some people in your community a Merry Christmas!
