Christmas Day is one of our favorite days of the year. It is a day that we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a day where we gather with family to create memories that will last a lifetime. For the third year, Christmas day is the culmination of an unbelievable adventure in giving. Our 25 Days of Giving came to a close as we gave a gift of love.
After opening gifts at our home we made a stop at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission. We delivered homemade cookies and Rice Krispie treats for the residents and staff. We were able to hand them out as we offered our wishes for a merry Christmas. It was great morning. We enjoyed seeing men who have become our friends. It was awesome to see the smiling facing and to hear that their lives continue to stay on the right track.
Christmas morning seems like the perfect time to reach out to those in need. We are so glad we decided to add the Mission into our holiday festivities. I foresee it becoming a new tradition for the Brown family.
