Today, we gave the gift of reading. We donated some books to local organizations that get books in the hands of kids. We donated 20 copies of our new book LINNIE MAE’S NEW FRIENDS to Kate’s Kart. The book will be added to the carts in the local hospitals and will be available for sick children to read. We also donated a few books to the Little Free Libraries that are popping up around town. These libraries are a great resource for youth in our community. If you are unfamiliar with these libraries, you can learn more by visiting the Little Free Library website or by going to the Fort Wayne Rotary’s Facebook page. Any time we can promote literacy and advocate reading we take advantage of the opportunity. We enjoyed getting these books into locations that they can be enjoyed by children in our community.
Day 21 (Wow, day 21 already?) is tomorrow. We will be leaving holiday wishes on windshields. Christmas cards will be left on random car windshields around town. Our hope is let others know that we are thinking about them this holiday season. We may even leave a few surprises in the cards.
