Be A Cheerful Giver This Christmas

The Christmas season is upon us and we are excited to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus, though He was rich, became poor on our behalf, lived a sinless life, died on the cross offering up His life for ours, and rose again to give us the gift of a new life. That gift motivates us to live giving lives that glorifies God. We are called to give generously, to give cheerfully, to give thankfully. What better way to celebrate Christmas than to live out this calling in a big way?

In just a few days we will kick off our 6th annual 25 Days of Giving. We have once again created a calendar that runs December 1-25 and features a daily act of giving that can brighten the lives of others. Each act, although simple and small, has the potential to create a smile, change an attitude and/or impact a life forever. It may just be a life-changing event for you and your family as well.

“Small acts, when multiplied by millions, can transform the world.” Howard Zinn

We invite you to join on this Christmas journey of giving. Your light is needed in this world of darkness. There are families in our communities that are hurting, craving encouragement and need a helping hand. Individuals who are experiencing the holiday season alone or grieving the loss of a loved one need to know you care. A complete stranger may just need to experience some genuine kindness. You, and your family, can make a difference this Christmas through kindness, love and service. You can do it through the 25 Days of Giving.

Shine your light! Give generously and give cheerfully this Christmas.
